Types of water

Ultrapure water

Ultrapure water is water that has passed through different successive media (filters, resins, membranes), so that it has been rid of most of its ions and organic matter.

Ultrapure water is dedicated to certain particular applications, for which the titration of traces (inorganic or organic) requires water of very high purity.

Information pictogram
In practice, it is often referred to as "milli-Q" water, that is to say water purified using a system patented by Millipore.
