Different types of micropipettes
Micropipettes can be classified according to different criteria:
- Withdrawal type: manual or automatic
- Volume: fixed or variable
- Number of channels: single-channel or multi-channel
- Operational mechanism: air displacement or positive displacement.
The model most commonly found in laboratories is the air displacement manual micropipette. It can have a fixed or variable volume, be single-channel or multi-channel.

Single-channel manual micropipette P10000: 1-10 mL equipped with a protective filter
Single-channel manual micropipette P1000: 100-1000 µL
Single-channel manual micropipette P20: 2-20 µL
