A guide to weighing
- Precision and weighing capacity. These are generally linked and can present difficulties when weighing, i.e. high mass weighing with very high precision. The very high accuracy of scales with a small weighing range entails significant constraints.
- The physical state of the object to be weighed: difficulty of weighing very volatile compounds, highly viscous liquids…
- Contamination must be avoided.
- Safety must be taken into account when handling products: some products require working under a fume hood.
- You must check for the absence of contaminants.
