ON WHICH PRINCIPLE?


Application for analysis:

The measurement of the difference in potential can be made between two electrodes, one being indicative and the other being a reference at the point where the electron transfer reactions occur. In practice, at a temperature of 25°C (298.15 K), converting the equation to decimal logarithms and replacing R and F by their respective values gives:

The potential measured by titration becomes:

This results in a logarithmic curve whose inflection point corresponds to the stoichiometric point (or equivalence point) of the reaction.
