Determination of chloride ions
To determine Cl- concentration, several methods are possible:
- Determination by colorimetric titration: Charpentier – Volhardt’s method
- Calibration dosage with a selective electrode.
- Complexometric/colorimetric titration with mercuric ions.
Two other colorimetric titrations are possible: The Mohr method and Fajans method.
