Choice of micropipette
Never attempt to force the setting beyond the nominal volume, otherwise the micropipette may be damaged!
Different models provide for samplings of different volume ranges.
The most precise results are obtained when the desired volume is between 35 and 100% of the nominal volume.
For example, for a P100 pipette, precision is ± 0.8% between 35 and 100 µL. If 10 µL is sampled, the error will be 2-3 %. In this case, a P20 or a P10 is preferable.
