The use of a rubber pipette filler (propipette) can be broken down into 4 key steps:
- Filling the propipette (under vacuum): Applying pressure simultaneously on point A and on the bulb allows the air to be emptied and the propipette to be filled.
- Connection of the pipette: The pipette filler is now connected to the pipette via the tube below point S.
- Sampling: The sample is taken by squeezing point S , so that the vacuum of the propipette can be used to aspirate the solution into the glass pipette. The pipette must be held vertically.
Dispensing: The solution is dispensed by squeezing point E.
The use of the pipette pump involves 4 key steps:
- Preparation of the pump: The pump is loaded by pushing the entire rack into the central chamber.
- Insertion of the pipette: The pipette is then plugged into the pump.
- Sampling: The Sampling of the liquid is carried out by rotating the wheel to raise the rack, drawing the solution into the pipette. The pipette must be held vertically.
- Dispensing: The solution is dispensed by pressing the plunger.
